Educational modules integrated into the exhibition
CaixaForum Seville, 2016-2017.
Through the exhibition Look at Me!: Portraits and Other Fictions from the ”la Caixa” we explore the genre of the portraiture to discover that it is not about reproducing but rather creating an image and, ultimately, a fiction.
The project consists of four educational modules integrated into the works of the collection that deal with the following themes: expression, identity, masks and, finally, cultural identity, based on the work El bosque de leche by Curro GonzĂĄlez.
Inside the white drawers are mirrors in a wooden frame, on an Instagram screen, in a National ID card and on a magazine cover. They help us answer questions such as how many expressions does our face hide? What have we inherited that influences our appearance and our character? What attitudes do we adopt and in what contexts?
Finally, through the observation of the work El bosque de leche, by Curro GonzĂĄlez, we fill a tree with sheets of paper on which we write down everything that makes us who we are.
• Design and manufacture of special furniture
• Mirrors to carry out the different activities
• Design and production of sheets of paper

“I knew that I can act differently at times, but I’ve just realised that I also put on different faces”

“Heidi, my ballet teacher, my grandmother, Carmen and her snack, and the walk to school are the clearest memories I have from my childhood”
